To The Editor:
I thank Colonel Ron Faucher, the new commander of AmVets Post 4, Massena, for the return of ethics to that post.
Elected in May of 2014, Commander Faucher has already cleaned up the pull tab member only rule. If you win you must now show your membership card to claim your prize. This prevents non members from walking in off the street and buying the tickets, abusing the privilege of dues paying veterans.
I consider my letters in 2013 part of the reason Ron Faucher is the new commander at that post. I fought to break up the clique that existed and won. I felt the post was too rich to be manned by the same vets year after year.
After 8 years membership, I will not renew this year in August. My jacket is for sale and should be purchased by a vet with the name Joe, which is monogrammed on the front. It is in excellent shape and is extra large in size with the post name monogrammed on the back. I paid $55 and am asking the same. You must be an AmVets Post 4 member and must show me your card to purchase this Post Jacket. Call me. I am in the book.
Through letters to editor, I have accomplished three good deeds from 2013-14. They are, new commander and break up of old clique at Post 4, installation of new railroad crossing in Plumbrook (old one caused six wrecks) and being instrumental in CSX installation of driveway for landlocked resident in Plumbrook. I had a good year.
You see PJ you can do other things besides hammer people with letters to editor.
Once again Ethics Returns to AmVets Post 4 and have your magnetic entry card on you when you visit for you will most likely need it.
