The 2013 Academy Awards had a touch of north country flair on stage Sunday night.

SUNY Potsdam theater major ChaRon Brabham shared the stage with the stars as she helped hand out Oscars,

Ms. Brabham took first place in the national “Oscar Experience Talent Search” sponsored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and mtvU. As part of the competition, the aspiring filmmaker made a 30-second video about how she will contribute to the future of movies.

In addition to her time on stage, Ms. Brabham was treated to studio tours, a visit to the Academy Library and a meet-and-greet with this year’s Academy Award Nominees in the Short Film category.
