CANTON - State police from around the region investigated numerous accidents Tuesday, including at least 16 in St. Lawrence County. Troopers responded to four accidents in the town of Stockholm, two each in the towns of Louisville Lisbon and Canton as well as accidents in the towns of Brasher, Waddington, Massena, Potsdam, Pitcairn and Fowler. Freezing rain followed by snow made may roads extremely slick around the region Tuesday afternoon and evening. Among the accidents reported were:
■ Joseph C. Bouchey, 41, of Ogdensburg and Darlene A. Bosckor, 70, of Massena were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 7:30 a.m. on North Main Street, near Bernard Avenue, in the village of Norwood.
■ Robert F. Hoffman, 63, of Blossvale and Christina D. Gilbo, 45, of Potsdam were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 2:27 p.m. at state Route 420 at Route 11C in the town of Stockholm.
■ Jason A. Casey, 35, of Canton at 3:55 p.m. on Route 11, near Wells Road, in the town of Stockholm.
■ Sandra M. Deshane, 44, of Winthrop at 4:48 p.m. on County Route 55, near County Route 50, in the town of Brasher.
■ Aaron J. Snyder, 23, of Winthrop at 5:30 p.m. on County Route 48, near Shop Road, in the town of Stockholm.
