MOIRA – Gary P. Howe, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving children on January 23, 2013. Funeral Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral, Moira.
Gary was born in Malone on May 21, 1941, the son of the Ralph and Lillian Howe. He attended St. Regis Falls School. Gary worked for Alcoa for years, retiring in 2000. In 1963, Gary was united in marriage to Patricia Wright.
Gary was an avid outdoorsman. He was a past member of the Poplar Hill Hunting Club and the Alexander McDonald Fish and Game, St. Regis Falls. He was a long-standing, active member of the Weller Mountain Fish and Game Club. Gary had a passion for four-wheeling, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and playing shuffleboard.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian; two children, Denise (David) Luka of Buffalo, N.Y., and Kevin Howe of Moira; and two brothers, Larry (Janet) and Robert (Yvonne) Howe.
Gary is predeceased by his father, Ralph Howe.
In keeping with Garys wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Friends and family wishing to remember Gary may make a memorial contribution to the Alice Ballard Hospice Fund, 104, Park St., Malone, or the Moira Fire and Rescue Squad, 2340 Cty Rte 5, Moira.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring.
