BRASHER FALLS - The St. Lawrence Central varsity girls basketball team carried the momentum of a 15-2 first-quarter lead to the end in notching a 55-33 NAC North Division win at home over Norwood-Norfolk on Tuesday.

Breanna Vatter netted a game-high15 points while grabbing four rebounds and pulling off two steals as the Lady Larries pushed their lead to 30-6 by halftime. Sam Richards added 13 points toward the winning effort. Lindsey Thayer added 10 points and seven boards. Noelle Rufa fashioned six points, six steals and four rebounds. Caitlin Grow worked the paint for nine rebounds, five assists, four points and one block. Jenna Kesner chipped in three points while Chelsea Savage (6 rebounds, 5 steals) and Morgan Villnave closed out the SLC scoring with two points each.

Carlea Weaver led the Lady Flyers with nine points followed by Katie Ames with seven and Hannah Seguin with six. Cadence Hunkins and Kate Wellings added four points apiece, Alisabeth Furnace two and McKenzie McCormick one.

In other NAC girls basketball action on Tuesday, Chateaugay logged a 73-12 East Division win over St. Regis Falls and Brushton-Moira beat interdivisional rival Parishville-Hopkinton 39-22.

Chateaugay 73, SRF 12: Makayla Fleury and Abby Barnes each scored 18, Courtney Boyea added 15 and Katie Beach chipped in 10 for the Bulldogs (7-1, 6-0) over the Lady Saints, who got six points each from Madison Greenwood and Kaitlyn White.
