CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - CANTON - Canton-based state police charged Dustin P. Gushlaw, 33, of Canton with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment Wednesday afternoon stemming from an investigation into an incident reported at 12:42 p.m. Dec. 18 from the town of Canton. Gushlaw was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Casey D. McMillan, 24, of Apt. D, 9957 state Route 56, Massena, with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for operation of a vehicle with non-transparent windows at 9:30 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on state Route 131. His operating privileges had nine suspensions on five dates between April 11, 2009 and Aug. 30, 2009 for failure to answer summons in courts in Masssena and Potsdam. McMillan was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released on his own recognizance to reappear Jan. 23 in Massena Town Court.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Wednesday. Among those were:
■ Azia R. Hart, 29, of Akwesasne and Diana M. Jenkins, 65, of Massena were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 9:03 a.m. on state Route 56, near the Joy Road, in the town of Norfolk.
■ Kimberlee S. George, 46, of Massena at 5:54 p.m. on County Route 10, near the Sanderson Road, in the town of Lisbon.
■ William S. Armstrong, 71, of Madrid at 6:16 p.m. on County Route 33, near the Miller Road, in the town of Waddington.
