MASSENA - The Massena Central boys hockey team ended a two-game winless skid with a 6-2 decision over Norwood-Norfolk at the Massena Arena in the only NAC game on Tuesday.

Cortese restored the two-goal lead when he finished off a play set up by Robert and Young for a power play goal with 1:00 left in the opening frame.

Ian Wilson’s first goal of the year put Massena ahead 4-1 at 4:55 of the middle period before Phillips connected from Young with 1:33 left for the fifth Raider goal.

Kyle Bent finished off a play set up by Tristan Harvey for the second Icemen goal at 2:08 of the third but Maddox Merry sealed the win with his first of the season off an assist from Jordan Hart with 10 minutes left in regulation.

Connor Paquin turned aside 27 shots working the crease for the win while Brandon Richards was counted on to make 24 saves tending the N-N goal.
