Massena Central regrouped from a tough loss to down Franklin Academy while Norwood-Norfolk turned back Parishville-Hopkinton in the only two NAC varsity girls basketball games staged on Tuesday.

Massena 44, FA 36: In Malone, the Lady Raiders outscored the Lady Huskies 35-23 over the second and third quarters before coming away with the hard-fought Central Division win over the Lady Huskies.

Alisha Jacobs had a game-high 14 points, including three three-pointers, to go along with six steals, five rebounds and three assists while senior forward Marissa Manley tallied 12 points and 10 boards for her 10th double-double in 11 games this winter. Steffanie Premo came off the bench to fashion nine points followed by Sidney Thompson (6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 sterals) added four points followed by Erin Francis with three and Samanntha Villnave with two.

For FA (6-3, 3-2), Janelle Heden netted 12 points while Rachel Lamica generated 10 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Fountain tallied eight points, six boards, three blocks and seven steals.

The Lady Raiders (4-2, 5-4) are slated to play at St. Lawrence Central on Monday.

N-N 42, P-H 28: In Norfolk, the Lady Flyers built a 20-13 halftime lead then took control with a 12-4 third-quarter run. Carlea Weaver led thew inning effort with 13 points. Cadence Hunkins added 12 points while Kim Stewart and Hannah Seguin each finished with six followed by Katie Ames and Breanna Deshane with two points apiece and Alisabeth Furnace with one.

Nicole White tossed through three three-pointers in pacing the Lady Panthers with 11 points. Caitlin McGregor chipped in another eight points followed by Brianna Hayes and Kodi Perkins with three points each, Rachael Reminton with two and Jenna Converse with one.
