Watertown police charged Lisa M. Anderson, 47, of 321 Stone St., Apt. 3, with harassment early Wednesday for allegedly throwing a sex toy at an officer.

The instrument struck Officer Jonathan M. Pitts in the forehead, police said.

The incident occurred about 3 a.m. on the fourth floor at 263 State St., where Officer Pitts had been dispatched to deal with an unwanted person. A police report did not indicate if Ms. Anderson was the unwanted visitor.
