HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Brittany L. Remi, 22, of Massena with second-degree harassment on Tuesday following an investigation into a complaint stemming from an incident reported to troopers at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 18.
Sam J. Lanphear III, 21, of 1875 state Route 420, Apt. 5, Massena, was previously charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment following a complaint filed by Remi, his ex-girlfriend, stemming from that same series of incidents.
He had filed a complaint with troopers that Remi had harassed him during their domestic dispute.
Lanphear had been charged with allegedly violating a no harassment order of protection when he threatened to smash out the windows at her room at Bob’s Motel and take his son. He reportedly called Brittany Remi, 22, of Ogdensburg six times between 10:50 p.m. Feb. 16 and 10:40 a.m. Feb. 18. He reportedly called her uncomplimentary names in each of those conversations.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Kenneth L. Johns, 29, of Canton with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and faciliating second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday on the Brouse Road in the town of Norfolk. Bail was set at $130, troopers said.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - WADDINGTON - Ogdensburg-based state police reported Sarah L. Ripa, 30, of Ogdensburg was involved in a one-vehicle property damage accident at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 37, near the Buck Road, in the town of Waddington.
