Former Fort Drum commander to lead Army War College

Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Cucolo III, who had previously served as the 10th Mountain Division’s assistant division commander for support, was named Friday as the new commandant of U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa.

Prior to taking the position, he served as the director of force development for the Army’s G-8 in Washington and has also served as chief of Army Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., and as the director of the Joint Center for Operational Analysis-Lessons Learned, at U.S. Joint Forces Command, Suffolk, Va.
