OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Stuart R. McCallen, 25, of Brasher Falls; Lacey C. Staires, 23, of Norwood; and Craig W. Phelix, 25, of Brasher Falls with open container violations at 1:11 a.m. Sunday after they were observed in possession of alcohol beverages when they were walking on Market Street.
UNLAWFUL DEALING - POTSDAM - Two bartenders were each charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child (alcohol) on Sunday following an investigation into an incident on Valentine's Day when police conducting a bar sweep at Backstreet's reportedly found several underage people consuming alcoholic beverages inside the business.
Police charged Aubrie M. Harmon, 19, of Liverpool and Rachel C. Garrett, 20, of Mexico, N.Y., with seven counts each of unlawfully dealing with a child.
